Fresh from signing up with Long Branch Records, rising London based melodic metalcore outfit Shields – who we tipped as a band to watch this year (read here) – have just debuted a brand new track and video, ‘It’s Killing Me’.
Along with being the first release of new music since their fresh label signing, this also marks the first cut of material from the band since their 2015 EP, ‘Guilt’.
You can stream and watch the video for ‘It’s Killing Me’ below.
Speaking further about the song and video, guitarist/vocalist Sam Kubrick commented, “‘It’s Killing Me’ as a song came together surprisingly quickly as we usually devote weeks, if not months, to perfecting our songs. From start to finish the song was finished in about three days and instantly became a band favourite!
Shooting the video was incredibly fun but also very tiring, especially for our frontman Joe who spent 12 hours underwater thrashing and thriving about fully dressed in cold water!”
The track is expected to feature on the band’s yet-to-be-announced debut full-length album, more details of which will be confirmed over the coming weeks.
