VIDEO: Rolo Tomassi – Balancing The Dark

Never failing to keep us on our toes each and every time they bring out something new, Sheffield born and bred noisy lot Rolo Tomassi have just dropped a video to accompany ‘Balancing The Dark’, the second track from their soon-to-be-released fifth LP, ‘Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It’.

The band are currently on the road in the US for the first time in their careers, supporting New Jersey mathcore troupe, The Number 12 Looks Like You.

Speaking further about the track and its accompanying video, guitarist Chris Cayford, who also wrote the song, explains, “This song, almost unintentionally, became one of the most unsettling that we’ve ever written. I remember the first time we put keys over drone on the intro/outro and it instantly set the tone. To me, it just has this bad atmosphere and gives you a feeling that you’re not quite safe yet. The video is a reflection of that, it’s heavily influenced by Sean Durkin’s Martha Marcy May Marlene & The Sound Of My Voice by Zal Batmanglij both of which install a similar feeling in me.”

The band’s new album, ‘Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It’, is set for release on March 2nd 2018 via Holy Roar Records.

You can pre-order the album online now via the band’s official website (here), iTunes (here), Amazon (here), and Google Play (here).
