They’ve been going independent and touring DIY for a while, and third album ‘Caterpillar Sex’ has been in the works for a while now, but Florida’s I Set My Friends On Fire have now released a new single, titled ‘My Uzi Holds A Hundred Round Conscience’, with an accompanying video.

Though there’s still little news as to when we’ll finally hear ‘Caterpillar Sex’, the band have confirmed they’ve signed with Tragic Hero Records, and also have plans to release a further additional album via the label soon.
You can read a statement posted by the band discussing all of this below:
“We are proud to announce that we have signed with Tragic Hero Records! With that being said, we are also proud to announce that we are not only working on ‘Caterpillar Sex’, but a FOURTH album as well, which will be much more “back to the roots, but with a new twist.”
For the last year, we’ve toured the world as a fully independent band for the first time ever. We not only loved the freedom, but it was also something we needed to learn how to do. We needed to go through that struggle to learn more about not only the ever changing music business, but ourselves as well.
Despite our own public promises never to sign to another label, Tragic Hero was more than a label to us. Their whole staff believes in all of our crazy ideas, and loves the band for what it is, not what it was or what it could be. We wanted to give the old school and newer ISMFOF fans the best of both worlds and that’s something Tragic Hero saw and wanted to help us do. No throwing out records, no shelving, and no battles over creative control.
Thank you for sticking with us and thanks to everyone that made this possible. This is a new start for us but the beginning of a path we paved, not one created for us. It’s only up from here!”
More details surrounding third album ‘Caterpillar Sex’ and the yet-to-be-titled fourth album will be confirmed as and when it develops.
