TOUR PREVIEW: Impericon Never Say Die Tour 2014

For the last few years, Impericon have been well known for putting on amazing tours and festivals, one of these being the Never Say Die Tour. Previous editions have included such acclaimed acts such as Emmure, We Came As Romans, and Parkway Drive. Now this year’s listing has taken more of a hardcore gathering unlike previous line ups, which will please many of the masses who like this particular genre. Headlining this year’s tour is Terror, who are one of the bigger names of hardcore, being followed by six other bands who are up and coming in their fields.

Origin: Los Angeles, CA, USA

Years active: 2002-present
# albums: 5
Members: Scott Vogel (vocals); Martin Stewart (guitars); Jordan Posner (guitars); David Wood (bass); Nick Jett (drums, percussion)

Last time they came over here was for Impericon’s first ever UK festival, main support under metalcore giants Bury Tomorrow, so they have now got a chance to prove they are more than just a support band. 12 years to their name and they have had a lot of USA tours implementing their status as one of the greatest hardcore bands of their generation, but nothing much tour wise for the UK. Hopefully this will be the end of year blowout that this band wants.

Another one of California’s finest, Stick To Your Guns have been receiving more of a commercial success ever since The Hope Division was released back in 2010 with ‘Amber’ being the forefront. 2012 saw the release of Diamond which pushed them further up and we are now expecting a 2015 release for their new album ‘Disobedient’

Taking more of the punk route for hardcore, Comeback Kid have been hitting hard ever since their first record and have been growing ever since. Definitely a band that shouldn’t be slept on during this tour due to their energy on stage and what the crowd gives back.

Being the only band on this bill that is from Europe and also the only band that sticks more to a metalcore tradition than hardcore, they will be a bit out of their comfort zone as far as the crowd think, but don’t be fooled. They have enough riffs and firepower to make a name for themselves.

Opening the whole tour is the young up and coming melodic hardcore band Capsize. Having just released their newest record ‘Pale’ they are willing to set a big path. Last time they came over was with Being As An Ocean, so now its time to see if they will leave a bigger memory.
