Thoroughly respected and releasing one great album after another, UnderØath aren’t ones to fall shy of the mark when it comes to single releases either. Coinciding with their Give It A Name Festival appearances, the Christian metalcore mob release ‘Too Bright To See, Too Loud To Hear’.
Unlike the majority, if not all of their previous single releases, ‘Too Bright To See, Too Loud To Hear’ is mostly a slow and somewhat peaceful number for the band’s usual nature. Multi-tasking drummer and vocalist Aaron Gillespie is the main vocal drive for once, his vocal work reaching exceptional qualities for what is needed for this single. The song soon builds into a violent climax of a finish though, with gang claps and gang shouts slowly easing us into the frantic frenzy assault of guitars, blistering drum work, and Spencer Chamberlain‘s impressively demonic harsh vocal work, complementing Aaron Gillespie‘s clean contribution like cheese compliments pasta.
It’s not a usual outing you’d expect from UnderØath, but nonetheless it’s still an all round riot in its own right, and just shows that the boys can get away with almost anything and pull it off well.
