Placebo‘s single release history is an impressive one. To reel off but a few; ‘Every Me Every You’, ‘Infra-Red’, ‘Pure Morning’, ’36 Degrees’ and many more – but none have featured the complexity in instrumentation that ‘For What It’s Worth’ holds.
They’ve brought in strings and brass instruments to great effect this time around, which really boosts Placebo‘s sound from exciting into astounding. As ever Brian Molko‘s vocals and lyrics are very distinct and unique, and really leaves the Placebo imprint that makes it theirs. They’ve returned, and they’re only bringing more cards in their pack to play with.
