Tampa, Florida based post-hardcore legends Underoath will be making their way back to the UK in June not only for a slot at Download Festival, but for a one-off headline show in London too.
To celebrate the news, the band have released a new video to accompany ‘Bloodlust’, which acts as a visual and conceptual sequel to the video for their last single, ‘ihateit’.
Drummer/vocalist Aaron Gillespie had this to say about the song and its video.
“For ‘Bloodlust,’ which picks up where ‘ihateit’ left off, [singer] Spencer [Chamberlain] and I were chained to a pole for three hours with a stranger, who was the actress. Making this video was a really interesting process, because the song deals with a lot of deep issues and struggles. But it was so late when we were filming that we were just hysterical. The video seems so serious due to the lyrical content, but it was a night.”
You can stream and watch the video for ‘Bloodlust’ below.
The band’s eighth studio album, ‘Erase Me’, is out now through Fearless Records.
