Former Bad Wolves vocalist Tommy Vext has claimed that Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz (ex-The Acacia Strain guitarist) has taken his place as the band’s new frontman.
Vext made the claim online via his official Facebook page, which you can check out below.
“Congratulations to D.L. former guitarist of Acacia Strain who’s the new singer of Bad Wolves.
Unfortunately the band is going to have to change its name if they don’t pay for the songs I wrote and my trademark ownership but either way with this dude the best I guess.”
At the time of writing, there’s been no word from Bad Wolves or Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz directly to confirm or deny Vext‘s claim.
Vext parted ways with Bad Wolves earlier this year, issuing a statement that explained his decision revolved around his political stance, differing ideologies, and that when working on a new Bad Wolves album during lockdown it became “very clear” that he had “become a solo artist.”
Bad Wolves issued a statement of their own regarding Vext‘s departure, also confirming that they planned to release their third album and follow-up to 2019’s ‘N.A.T.I.O.N.’ later that year.
Since leaving The Acacia Strain back in 2013, Laskiewicz has been involved with a few bands, including LGND, helping Unearth write their 2018 album ‘Extinction(s)’, and most notably helping with ‘N.A.T.I.O.N.’.
More details will be confirmed as they develop.
