Tom DeLonge (Angels & Airwaves/ex-Blink-182) was created and presented in a sponge cake form this evening during an episode of The Great British Bake Off.
During the debut episode of the baking show’s new series, contestants were asked to create a bust of their hero as part of the showstopper challenge, and Dave from Hampshire opted to create DeLonge into confectionery.
To create the cake, which was named ‘Three Flavours of Tom DeLonge’, Dave opted for strawberry and mint flavoured sponge with an intense dark chocolate buttercream.
Other celebrities that were turned into sponge cake busts by the remaining contestants include David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Marie Antoinette, Bob Marley, and David Attenborough.
Though Dave didn’t win (wasn’t named the star baker) for his cake of DeLonge, he has made it through to the next stage of the contest.
