Next week, British metalcore upstarts TheCityIsOurs will finally be releasing their debut album, ‘Low’, and they’ve just shared with us all the third cut to come from it.

The band’s new song is called ‘If You Know, You Know’, and this is what guitarist/vocalist Mikey Page had to say about it.

“‘If You Know, You Know’ is a ray of positivity, in an otherwise dark album, born out of the frustration of living with your own demons. In a climate dominated by social media, we often seek validation from others around us, usually from people who are in no way qualified to do so, yet it can be extremely frustrating when we are overlooked or judged by others.

This track is about standing by what you believe in and doing what makes you happy – regardless of what anybody else has to say. Learning to love yourself can be a challenging concept, but it’s impossible to help others, without looking after yourself. We wanted to highlight that despite all the challenges featured throughout ‘Low’ there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.”

The band’s debut studio album, ‘Low’, is set for self-release on August 2nd 2019.
