With the 2018 edition of the League Of Legends World Championships now underway, the theme music has now been unveiled, and it turns out that Phoenix’s The Word Alive collaborated on it.
Frontman Telle Smith teamed up with both The Glitch Mob and Mako for the events theme song, titled ‘Rise’, which has now been released with an accompanying video.
He took to his personal Instagram account to share the news that he’d been working on the track.
“I’ve been working on the #worlds2018 theme song w/ Mako, The Glitch Mob and Riot Games for the majority of this year. I’m so stoked to be singing on such a huge anthemic song that will be heard by millions of people around the world. I’m thankful for them believing in my voice, and I can’t wait to join forces with Alex, Josh, Justin, Ed, and my The Word Alive boys live to form a crazy collaboration. Everyone involved in making this song and video have dedicated so much time and energy I hope you love it.”
You can stream and check out ‘Rise’ below.
The band’s fifth full-length album, ‘Violent Noise’, is out now via Fearless Records.
