Missouri based rockers The Get Up Kids have been at the game since 1995, save for a brief hiatus between 2005 and 2008. Now, seven years following the release of their 2011 full-length ‘There Are Rules’, the quintet have a new EP under their belts.
Their forthcoming ‘Kicker’ EP, a reference to the band’s football obsession which dates back to their first European tour, is scheduled for release on June 8th 2018 through Polyvinyl Records and Big Scary Monsters.
Speaking of the EP and its overarching concept, guitarist/vocalist Jim Suptic shares, “You always look back in rose colored glasses, and I always remember when this band was really struggling and we were selling our CD collections to pay our rent and that sucked at the time, but looking back that was an amazing time, that was so much fun. There was no pressure or anything.”
