British rock darlings The Darkness will soon be releasing their sixth album, ‘Easter Is Cancelled’, and they’ve just shared another taste of what to expect, ‘Heart Explodes’.

It’s the second single to be taken from the forthcoming full-length, and this is what frontman Justin Hawkins said about it.

“It’s about the despair of change. Having to reappraise your life and what you’re holding on to. It’s like that feeling when you just want to go for a swim and keep going. Wanting to be enveloped by something that will gradually pull you down. If you really, really want to survive that process, you can. We’ve all been there – people who say they haven’t are lying.”

The song has been released with an animated lyric video, which you can check out below.

The band’s sixth album, ‘Easter Is Cancelled’, is out on October 4th 2019 via Cooking Vinyl.

You can pre-order the album online now from the band’s official website (here), iTunes (here), Amazon (here), and Google Play (here).
