Goth-rock idles The Cure are set to collaborate once again with long-term partner Tim Pope for their 40th anniversary documentary.
The band are celebrating four decades since Robert Smith and the original line-up released the first single ‘Killing An Arab’, and 2019 marks the 40th year since the release of debut album ‘Three Imaginary Boys’.
The band has worked with Pope on numerous projects and the latest feature-length documentary will chronicle the history of the band from the 1970s up until the present day, with Smith serving as the narrator. Not only will the documentary show an insight into the band’s history, it will also feature never been seen before interview, bootlegs and rare performances.
There is currently no set date for the release of the documentary.
The Cure has also recently announced the dates for their only European tour of 2018 where they will headline London’s Hyde Park for British Summer Time 2018 on Saturday July 7th. Tickets are available now (here).
