NEWS: The Catharsis drummer Andrew ‘Bev’ Bevan parts ways with the band!

Birmingham based hardcore act The Catharsis have confirmed today that they have decided to part ways with their drummer, Andrew ‘Bev’ Bevan. The band issued the following statement below on their Facebook page earlier today:

“Hi Guys, Earlier today our brother, and drummer Bev decided to leave The Catharsis, the decision to leave was extremely hard for Bev to make, but right now being in the band just isn’t right for him. He has been a part of our lives as musicians for so long, and we are sad to see him leave, but he will always be our best friend and our brother.

The latter half of 2012 has been extremely hard on us as a band, tours being cancelled, drummers leaving and joining, all of our gear and our van being stolen, and now with the blow of Bev leaving, we needed to put some serious thought into T/C, obviously we are deciding that the plan is now what it always has been. To do what we love, no matter what. So effected immediately we are on the hunt for a new drummer to join The Catharsis, great opportunities coming up in 2013 including the release of our debut album, UK and European tours, and just great times with dudes who love what they do. If you’re interested then please drop us a message here or e-mail All applicants are welcome but we are ideally looking for someone in the midlands area who has their own transport, and their own awesome gear, obviously being sick on the tubs is a given. To our family, friends and fans, please support us now by sharing this status so we can reach any potential drummers!! please leave Bev your best wishes and get spreading the word!!!!”

So if there are any budding young drummers that meet the criteria mentioned above be sure to contact the band via their facebook page or email them via”
