In recent years, the idea of System Of A Down releasing any new music in the foreseeable future seemed highly unlikely due to some creative conflicts, but now the band have released two new songs.
The band’s first new music in 15 years, the songs ‘Protect The Land’ and ‘Genocidal Humanoidz’ both aim to raise awareness and funds to aid the people of Artsakh and Armenia after continued attacks from Azerbaijan and Turkey.
This is what guitarist/vocalist Daron Malakian had to say about it.
“We’re probably the only rock band that has governments as enemies, the only rock band that’s at war, so I wrote these songs to boost the morale of our troops and Armenians around the world.”
‘Protect The Land’ has been released with a video, which you can check out below.
You can also stream ‘Genocidal Humanoidz’ below.
Both tracks can also be purchased and downloaded from Bandcamp, all proceeds of which will go towards the Armenia Fund.
