In recent years, nu-metal has certainly seen some form of resurgence, largely influenced by flagship bands of the first movement like Linkin Park. New York’s Sylar are undoubtedly one of those new wave influences, and in tribute to Chester Bennington, who sadly passed away last week, they’ve covered Linkin Park‘s popular track, ‘Points Of Authority’.
Along with acting as a tribute to Bennington‘s influence and legacy, Sylar will be donating 100% of the net profits acquired by this cover to the National Alliance On Mental Illness (or, NAMI for short). NAMI is an organisation that provides psychoeducation research and support for people and their families impacted by mental illness through various public education and awareness activities.
