Sunrise Skater Kids, the fictitious pop-punk band created by Jarrod Alonge, have released a cover of ‘What’s My Age Again?’ by Blink-182.
Alonge had this to say about the cover, which will see all of its proceeds donated to a number of different cancer charities.
“I typically keep my personal life private, but… most of you are probably aware of Mark Hoppus’s recent cancer diagnosis. My uncle Steve passed away back in March after a 6.5 year battle with pancreatic cancer and I’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to do something charitable. Sunrise Skater Kid’s new vocalist Clay also has a parent currently battling cancer.
So, stream this new blink-182 cover! 100% of all profits will be donated to Children’s Hospital LA, the Seena Magowitz Foundation and the National Cancer Institute. Slap that puppy into a Spotify playlist and blast it on repeat.
Big shout out to Will Carlson Audio for mixing/mastering pro bono.”
