Cambridge alt rock quintet Standing Like Statues have shared a new song called ‘Skylines’, the lead single from their upcoming EP, ‘Reality Checkpoint’.
Vocalist Jamie Wiltshire had this to say about it.
“[It’s] a story about feeling claustrophobic. To fear losing people for finally being true to who you are. The pain of constantly apologising to someone you love for things that you can’t control and the underlying anxiety that can eat away, making you question and over-rationalise things. It’s a cry for help, with an answer. We want to be there for the people who connect with this track, like this song helped us be there for each other.”
You can check out ‘Skylines’ and its video below.
The band’s second EP, ‘Reality Checkpoint’, will be self-released on November 13th 2020.
Pre-orders are expected to be made available soon.
