Evidently dominating the world of metal and heavy music isn’t quite enough for masked nonet Slipknot, who are now entering the spirits industry with the launch of their new farm-to-table whiskey.
The range of whiskies, called No. 9 Iowa Whiskey, has been created in collaboration with local family-owned Cedar Ridge Distillery, and will be made available to purchase from August 10th 2019.
This is what the band’s founder and percussionist/vocalist Shawn “Clown” Crahan said about the drink and the partnership.
“Slipknot and Cedar Ridge Distillery – two groups of people born and raised in Iowa, and committed to quality and hard work. We collaborated on No. 9 Whiskey, which in addition to Iowa corn, gets some extra spice from its rye content. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Live life, and always be safe.”
The band also released a short promotional video for the spirit, which you can check out below.
The retail price will be $39.99 (£31.78), with a reserve version also available for $69.99 (£55.63). At the time of writing, it’s uncertain where it will be stocked in the UK.
