According to a report posted on The Des Moines Register, Mick Thomson, guitarist for metal mammoths Slipknot, and his brother Andrew were transported to a hospital on Wednesday (March 11th 2015) following an early morning knife fight that left them both with non-life threatening injuries.
Clive police have reported that Thomson and his brother Andrew were fighting and armed with knives in a skirmish that spilled over onto the front yard of a home at 4:25AM. When officers arrived, they found the brothers who were believed to be intoxicated with serious but non-life threatening stab wounds. The guitarist was reportedly stabbed in the back of his head.
The brothers were then transported in separate ambulances to the hospital, and no charges had been filed against either sibling at the time of writing. Thomson‘s bandmate and vocalist for Slipknot, Corey Taylor, posted the following tweet regarding the incident:
