Off the back of our report yesterday of a huge strings of Instagram profiles with multiple cryptic videos, Slipknot have finally revealed what it was all about.
The band’s percussionist and overall director of art and visuals, M. Shawn Crahan, has debuted a obscure 20-minute long short film, ‘Pollution’, which features all of the clips and also ties in the recently released video for their song ‘Nero Forte’.
This is what Crahan had to say of the artistic project.
“I set out to make a short film that makes you question your own existence, here in this reality. When you lay down in your bed, next to the one you love, do you ever ask yourself – is it possible that this person could slit my throat while I’m sleeping? Enjoy. Pollution is everywhere.”
You can watch the full short film ‘Pollution’ below.
The band’s sixth full-length album, ‘We Are Not Your Kind’, is available now through Roadrunner Records.
