According to a report by entertainment news site TMZ, EDM artist and producer Skrillex (aka Sonny Moore, who is also the vocalist for From First To Last) is to pay a fan over $1 million in damages.
The payout comes from the back on an injury lawsuit that was filed in February 2014, in which the jury awarded the fan, Jennifer Fraissl, a total of $4,525,402 (approximately £3,547,915) against Moore, claiming that she suffered a stroke after he stage dived on her at his concert at The Belasco in Los Angeles, California on February 11th 2012.
Footage of the incident in question can be seen below.
Moore himself was found to be responsible for 35% of the damages awarded by the jury whilst his touring company, Lost Boys, owes an additional approximate $1,800,000. The venue was also deemed to owe approximately $450,000 of the damages.
Fraissl, however, won’t be able to claim the total damage payout amount, as the jury also found her to be 15% responsible for the incident.
His attorney, Barry Thompson, reportedly intends to make a decision soon about an appeal.
