It’s been just over a year since the tragic death of iconic British musician, David Bowie, who passed away on January 10th 2016 (just two days after his 69th birthday) after losing his ongoing battle with liver cancer. It also came less than a week following the release of his final album, ‘Blackstar’.
Now, UK postal service Royal Mail are to release a special set of postal stamps as their way to honour his legacy.
The David Bowie Special Stamps will be a limited edition set of souvenirs and gifts, and is the next instalment in their Music Giants Special Stamp series, and will be released on March 14th 2017.
The stamps will depict a range of images, including artwork from a handful of his studio albums, including final release ‘Blackstar’, and various images of Bowie performing throughout his career.
Along with the stamps, fans will be able to purchase other souvenirs with the limited edition stamp artwork and packages, including fan sheets, and framed images. Be aware that some of these will be limited to just 950.
Fans are able to pre-order these limited edition souvenirs and gifts online now via the Royal Mail website (here).
