Toronto based six-piece Respire have signed with Church Road Records, through which they’ll be releasing their forthcoming full-length album, ‘Black Line’.
The news comes a few weeks following the band’s decision to leave Holy Roar Records, who along with a number of other acts have severed ties with the label in the wake of allegations against its founder.
This is what the band had to say about joining the Church Road Records roster.
“We witnessed Justine’s dedication to artists and her ability to successfully run a label first-hand over the past several months, and putting this record out on Church Road Records is a logical continuation of this, and a chance for us all to realize our collective hard work by keeping this release on track.
In partnership with Church Road Records, we’re donating a portion of the proceeds from each sale through them to Toronto Rape Crisis Centre/ Multicultural Women Against Rape. We stand with survivors, and are proud to support an organization doing such important work in our home.”
The band’s third studio album, ‘Black Line’, will now be released on the revised date of December 4th 2020 (originally November 13th 2020).
