Swedish punk rock legends Refused have just released a track under their Samurai alter ego called ‘A Like Supreme’.
Refused have teamed up with Polish video game developers CD PROJEKT RED to perform as the fictional band Samurai in their forthcoming video game, Cyberpunk 2077, for which they’re contributing several new tracks.
Speaking about the band’s contribution to the game, vocalist Dennis Lyxzén had this to say.
“Like us, Samurai is a group of rebels, albeit in a different time and place. Working together with CD PROJEKT RED, writing music and song lyrics for Cyberpunk’s chrome rock icon was fun, but also very different in the creative sense. It was an unexpected challenge that turned out to be right up our alley and really got us going. The songs turned out great and the game looks insane.”
You can stream and listen to ‘A Like Supreme’ below.
The forthcoming video game, Cyberpunk 2077 is set for release on November 19th 2020, and will be made available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
It’ll also be made available for the soon-to-be-released next generation consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X.
