NEWS: Placebo to hold charity auction from September 29th 2017!

Having celebrated their 20th anniversary together as a band with global touring, a best of compilation in ‘A Place For Us To Dream’ and a new EP titled ‘Life’s What You Make It’, British rockers Placebo are going to bring this monumental milestone to a close by holding a charity auction.

Starting from September 29th 2017, the band will be hosting one of the biggest charity auctions of its kind, through which they’ll be selling lots of rarities, memorabilia, and personal items, with all proceeds being donated to CALM and The Mercy Centre, Bangkok.

Over 300 items will be featured in the auction, including frontman Brian Molko‘s iconic ribbed jumper from the ‘Pure Morning’ video, their ‘Without You I’m Nothing’ CD single featuring David Bowie, signed by Bowie himself, a Vivienne Westwood jacket worn by bassist Stefan Olsdal during their 1999 BRIT Awards performance, and Molko‘s smashed Fender Jazzmaster guitar, to name but a few inclusions.

The full catalogue of items that are to be sold off at the auction can be looked over now via the band’s official website (here).
