A new Pierce The Veil album looks to be in the works. Frontman Vic Fuentes has shared an image with him set up next to a microphone, confirming that they’re now “on the beautifully unpredictable journey to album #5”.
The record would act as the follow-up to the band’s 2016 full-length release, ‘Misadventures’.
Though it’s a definite sign of progress, Vic Fuentes‘ picture seems to be taken in a makeshift home studio in his home, indicating that he’s probably working on the demo stages of their new material.
This is also one of the first major updates from the band since the exit of Vic‘s brother and their now former drummer, Mike Fuentes.
Mike stepped down from the band following the surface of sexual misconduct allegations made towards him back in the tail-end of 2017. In a statement, Mike stated that has decided to “take a break and step away from my position in the band in hopes that this will allow my band mates and fans to continue focusing on the music and message that Pierce The Veil stands for.”
You can read the band’s statement along with Mike‘s following the allegations over on Loudwire (here).
It’s uncertain at this time if the band will continue without Mike Fuentes as a member. Assumptions are that they would continue with a new full-time member, or a touring drummer for the foreseeable future.
