Regrettably progressive metal favourites Periphery have been forced to cancel their forthcoming headline tour of the UK and Europe due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The tour was scheduled to run throughout both the UK and mainland Europe this June, and would’ve been in promotion of the band’s latest full-length album, ‘Periphery IV: Hail Stan’.
You can read a statement from the band regarding this decision below.
“It’s with heavy hearts that we must announce all of Periphery’s European shows scheduled in June are now cancelled. As the weeks have passed and the reality that this global pandemic has not slowed down enough to allow us to safely travel and play shows, we felt it best to give fans as much notice as possible that we are not making the trip.
Tickets for all headline dates can be refunded at point of purchase.
We’re sorry to disappoint anyone looking forward to seeing us play, and we hope to get back to Europe very soon. In the meantime, please follow the orders of doctors and healthcare professionals, stay safe, and REMAIN INDOORS.”
As advised in the band’s statement, ticket holders are to refer to their point of purchase for refunds.
