London based tattoo studio Parliament Tattoo and British heavy metal legends Judas Priest will be teaming up for a first of its kind exhibition.
The event, named Hell Bent For Leather, is an exhibition of hand painted leather biker jackets inspired by the band’s albums and song titles by some of the world’s greatest tattoo artists.
Each artist taking part in the exhibition has selected their favourite Judas Priest song or album title from which to create their artwork, painting directly onto the back of biker jackets using specially designed acrylic leather paint.
Here’s a list of the tattoo artists that have contributed and are involved in this special project:
The initial invitation only private view will be hosted at Parliament Tattoo‘s own studio in North London, where the band’s frontman Rob Halford will be in attendance, on April 27th 2017.
Following this, the one-off pieces will then be displayed publicly in London within Camden at a free exhibition from May 5th-10th 2017. You can read more about this on the tattoo studio’s website (here).
After their display in London, the jackets will then head over to the Brighton Tattoo Convention on May 13th-14th 2017.
The jackets will then be auctioned off online to benefit both the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund charity organisations.
