Though they technically never officially split up, Georgia post-hardcore outfit Oh, Manhattan have been quiet for a number of years following the departure of vocalist, Hance Alligood.

Since he left, the remaining members of the band have instead worked on other projects, but now they’re planning on making a comeback with the return of Alligood to the fold.

Speaking on his return to the group, co-vocalist Donny Thomas had this to say.

“We are excited to reunite and record Oh, Manhattan the way it was intended to be. We are truly inspired to write new lyrical material and share it with the world.”

According to recent posts on their social media channels, the band intend to release a new song – marking their first release of new material since 2011 – very soon.

Alligood originally left the band back in 2011 to join the band Woe, Is Me where he replaced their ex-vocalist and now Issues frontman, Tyler Carter.

He remained in Woe, Is Me until they dissolved in 2013, during which time he featured on their sophomore album ‘Genesi[s]’ and their ‘American Dream’ EP.

Following the split of Woe, Is Me, Alligood then went on to join Favorite Weapon in 2014 who released their debut and only album, ‘Sixty Saragossa’, before he stepped down from the group the following year.
