Just a few mere days from the release album their fifth record, ‘Alien’, Sydney’s Northlane have just released a video for ‘Eclipse’, the latest single to be cut from it.
Directed by Jason Eshraghian, the video is shot in a POV style throughout a night of debauchery, similar to that of the video for ‘Smack My Bitch Up’ by The Prodigy.
As for the song, this is what frontman Marcus Bridge had to say about it.
“‘Eclipse’ is an attempt to understand the reasons and motivations behind the things my father did. When everything else in his life went wrong, he took it out on my sister and I. It’s easy to say that he was just a bad father but it was a bit more complicated than that. Despite trying to see it through his eyes, I’ve promised myself that I will never turn out like him, as a father, a husband or a man.”
You can stream and watch the video for ‘Eclipse’ below.
The band’s fifth full-length album, ‘Alien’, is scheduled for release on August 2nd 2019 through UNFD.
