Long surviving music and entertainment retail store chain, HMV, have regrettably announced that they have been forced to enter themselves into administration, thought to be mainly due to strong online competition, putting approximately 4350 jobs at risk.
All 239 of HMV’s stores in the UK and the Republic of Ireland will remain open while the business is assessed and potential buyers are sought out. The firm said it would not be accepting gift vouchers or issuing any more.
Further news regarding the future of the chain store will be announced as and when it develops.
