According to posts from fans on social media and a report from The New Fury (here), The Devil Wears Prada frontman Mike Hranica has been sent to hospital following the band’s set at the Mercury Ballroom in Louisville, Kentucky yesterday evening (May 9th 2017).
The band are currently on tour across North America in support of their new album ‘Transit Blues’ before they head on over to Europe, which will include a stop in the UK to perform a set at this year’s Download Festival.
You can see some posts regarding this made by fan Matthew Powers who was attending the show that evening below.
This is from outside @mercuryballroom. @mkhrnc is in that ambulance. He passed out on the way out of the venue from an asthma attack after @tdwpband's set tonight. Wishing him well. He went harder than ever tonight and I didn't think that was possible. Photo credit: @dillonedwardbutler #TheDevilWearsPrada #TDWP #Metalcore #madnesstour
At the time of writing, there hasn’t been any official word on what has happened or Hranica‘s current state from any of the band’s social media accounts or from any member of the band themselves, Hranica included.
More news surrounding the incident and Hranica‘s condition will be confirmed as and when it develops.
We here at DEAD PRESS! hope that Mike makes a swift and full recovery.
