Alongside fronting heavy metal outfit Trivium, it appears that frontman Matt Heafy now has a solo career under his belt having confirmed his signing to Roadrunner Records.
The label is also home to Trivium, and has put out all of their records from 2005’s breakthrough sophomore effort ‘Ascendancy’ and up to this year’s ‘What The Dead Men Say’.
Briefly speaking of the signing, Heafy had this to say.
“My solo signing to Roadrunner Records is now the spot where all my fun solo endeavors will pop up. Spin on repeat.”
His first solo release on the label is a cover of ‘Toss A Coin To Your Witcher’, a song from the Netflix fantasy drama, The Witcher. You can check it out below.
At the time of writing, it’s uncertain whether a forthcoming EP or full-length solo album is on the cards, or if Matt Heafy will continue to release one-off tracks for the foreseeable.
