NEWS: Martyr Defiled part ways with guitarist, Lee Cook!

Licoln heavy hitters Martyr Defiled have announced via their official Facebook page today that now former guitarist Lee Cook has decided to part ways with the band. You can find a statement from Lee regarding his decision below:

“So today I have made the decision to leave Martyr Defiled.

I joined MD 4 years ago and in that time I have had the opportunity to share the stage with some absolutely incredible bands and see some truly amazing places.

I have experienced what it’s really like to be in a active touring band which is something that I dreamed of doing since I started playing guitar; I genuinely never thought back then that one day I’d get to tour all round the UK and Europe let alone have some of my work on TV or even to be signed!

That being said I feel it’s time for me to leave.
I felt like I was chasing my 19yr old selfs dream and that isn’t what I want anymore, I have goals and aspirations which I feel like I can’t achieve whilst giving my everything to the band.

The lads and I are sound and will always will be great friends, we’ve shared some experiences that I will remember till I’m old and incontinant and wouldn’t swap those memories for the world!

I want to thank everyone who ever bought a ticket with your hard earned cash and came to one of our shows, everyone who ever put us up after a show and treated us so well.

Thank you so much, and keep your eyes and ears peeled because this next album that’s in the pipeline will make you wet.

Thank you all

Lee x”

News regarding his replacement in the line-up will confirmed over the coming weeks.
