Last week, the shocking news was confirmed that shocked the metal and heavy music community that Kyle Pavone, vocalist for Michigan based metalcore outfit We Came As Romans, had tragically passed away.
Pavone was aged 28 and, according to reports at the time, he was admitted into “transported to a Michigan hospital on August 19 and pronounced dead Saturday morning” though a cause of death was not confirmed.
In a statement now issued by the band, they have stated that Pavone‘s death was due to an “accidental overdose”, and with that they have also set up and established a charity foundation in his honour, The Kyle Pavone Foundation, to help and support those in need.
TMZ are also reporting (here) that the Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office in Michigan has confirmed Pavone‘s death is related to drug abuse, though final results from a toxicology report are expected to take about eight weeks.

“On Saturday August 25th, we lost our son, our brother, our best friend and our band mate to an accidental overdose.
The opposite of addiction is connection. If you are feeling disconnected or lost, there is help. Please take action, whether that is talking to your families or friends, meeting with a counselor, or joining a support group. If you are a friend or family member of someone who is struggling, do not be silent! If you are an artist in need of support through your struggle, we have created the The Kyle Pavone Foundation in Kyle’s honor, to help.
We look forward to celebrating Kyle’s life again at a public event in early October at the Fillmore in Detroit. Please join us to continue to support KylePavoneFoundation.org
We here at DEAD PRESS! offer our deepest condolences and sympathies to Kyle Pavone‘s family, friends, bandmates, and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.
