Justice For The Damned have dropped a new song called ‘Sever What Makes Me Like Them’, their first offering since last year’s full-length effort, ‘Pain Is Power’.

The track was recorded in 2019 during the sessions for ‘Pain Is Power’, which was mixed and mastered by producer Will Putney at Graphic Nature Audio, but didn’t quite make the final cut.

Guitarist Nick Adams had this to say of the song and its meaning.

“‘Sever What Makes Me Like Them’ is a song about being born into our world with all its collective issues and darkness. Thematically speaking, it’s inspired by the state of our societies. Outdated and built on exploitation of people and the planet. It is a statement of frustration and anger, the initial flood of emotion that hits before you are able to deal with it if there’s any way that you can. Whilst this song still held relevance to the messages we wanted to get across, it didn’t quite fit the big picture of ‘Pain Is Power’, which, rather than brooding in the darkness, looks at seizing strength amidst the pain of life.”
