NEWS: Josh Franceschi (You Me At Six) shares important message on mental health!

For those who are unaware, this week (May 8th-May 14th) marks Mental Health Awareness week; 7 days in which an effort to raise the awareness of mental health and well-being and how we can help those who may be living with a metal health issue is brought to light. You Me At Six vocalist Josh Franceschi has shared an important message on Twitter in order to raise awareness for those who are struggling.

In a series of tweets, Franceschi shares his thoughts and views on how we can help to not only raise awareness of mental health, but also how to help remove the ill-informed negative connotations that sadly some people associate with the term ‘mental health’, rightfully stating that the “Most important thing you can do is talk about & address your demons. Let’s kill the stigma.”

The Mental Health Awareness event is coordinated by the Mental Health Foundation, and this year’s theme is “Surviving or Thriving”, in which the foundation reports that only a small minority of people (13%) report living with high levels of good mental health.

If you are or a friend or loved one is struggling with metal health, please know that you are not alone, and help is there for you. You can find a wide range of resources that can help over on the Mental Health Foundation‘s website (here).

They also offer a list of services and organisations that offer help and support directly who you can reach out to. You can also find these on the Mental Health Foundation‘s website (here).
