NEWS: Jonny Craig (Slaves) arrested in Scottsdale due to Criminal Damage to Property!

It is being reported that Jonny Craig, the frontman for Californian post-hardcore/R&Bcore outfit Slaves, was arrested in Scottsdale, Arizona last night (March 12th 2018) with charges of Criminal Damage to Property and Disorderly Conduct being pressed against him.

The band were scheduled to play at the city’s live music venue Pub Rock Live that evening, but were allegedly forced to cut their set short of their encore song, with musicians and fans reportedly being ejected from the venue for undisclosed reasons.

However, due to the charges being pressed against him, it is believed that Craig then proceeded to cause some damage within the property.

Video footage first appeared online via Twitter from fans in attendance, in which they show Craig being escorted in handcuffs from the venue into a police car, along with footage of members from other bands arguing with venue staff.

Public records have since been made available via the City of Scottsdale government website (here), stating that Craig made a court appearance at 10:30AM (local time) today. These records also confirm that his attorney has filed a Motion to Dismiss charges of Criminal Damage to Property and Disorderly Conduct.

At the time of writing, it is believed that Craig is currently in custody and awaiting arraignment.

Slaves were on a headline tour across with both Ghost Town and Dayshell in support of their recently released full-length album, ‘Beautiful Death’. The show in Scottsdale, Arizona marked the final date of the run.
