NEWS: Jesse Lacey (Brand New) tears up onstage; hints at band’s break-up!

Whilst at their final show of 2015 in Nashville a couple of days ago, Jesse Lacey, the frontman for Long Island based emotional rockers Brand New, began to choke up and tearing up onstage amidst an intimate speech, during which he hinted at a potential end to the band in the foreseeable future.

Towards the end of the speech, Lacey stated that “I’m going to tell you right here and now, this isn’t going to last much longer” before the band proceeded to play ‘Play Crack The Sky’ as part of their encore. You can watch this segment of the speech via a fan-shot video below:

Before this, the speech also included Lacey talking about how thankful he is for the band and its achievements to date, his fellow bandmates, and friendships developed with other bands throughout their career. You can watch this via a different fan-shot video below:

Despite releasing a new song titled ‘Mene’ and performing another new song titled ‘Sealed To Me’ during their live shows, details regarding the band’s fifth album and follow-up to 2009’s ‘Daisy’ are still to be confirmed.
