UPDATE: A statement has now been posted from the band, confirming their split.
James Alex, vocalist/guitarist and founding member of Beach Slang, has been accused of alleged emotional and psychological abuse by the band’s former manager.
The allegations against James Alex surfaced via Twitter earlier this week (January 5th 2021) from Charlie Lowe, and their tweets can be read below.

Since the allegations came to light, the band’s Twitter account appears to have been suspended or deleted.
I remember JA saying once that if any “stupid bitch” came out about him a la Me Too, he would just delete all social media & try to disappear from the public.
