Emerging British indie-punk/emo collective itoldyouiwouldeatyou are hitting the road today for a UK tour supporting Queen Zee, and they’re celebrating by releasing a video for ‘Almost Zero’.
Vocalist Joey Ashworth had this to say about the track, which is partly inspired by a short story written by senior Putin advisor Vladislav Surkov.
“Of all the songs from the album this one is probably the most in keeping with the name ‘Oh Dearism’, in that it talks about the influence of the state on the subconsciousness of the people and how that is rarely a good thing. It’s about the effect that having your personality traded and sold back to you has on a person’s self-worth, however subtle.”
You can stream and watch the video for ‘Almost Zero’ below.
The band’s debut full-length album, ‘Oh Dearism’, is out now via Alcopop! Records/Failure By Design Records.
