Horror fanatics Ice Nine Kills have shared a new song called ‘Hip To Be Scared’, which is inspired by the 2000 horror film, American Psycho.

Its title is a play on the 1986 single ‘Hip To Be Square’ by Huey Lewis And The News, which is played during an infamous scene from the film.

The song, which features a guest spot from Papa Roach frontman Jacoby Shaddix, also acts as the lead single from the band’s eagerly-awaited sixth album, ‘The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood’, the follow-up (and seemingly sequel) to their 2018 breakthrough LP, ‘The Silver Scream’.

You can stream and check out ‘Hip To Be Scared’ below.

A video for the song will premiere later today (July 9th 2021) at 7:00PM (UK time).

The band’s sixth studio album, ‘The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood’, will be released on October 15th 2021 via Fearless Records.

More album details along with pre-orders are expected to be made available soon.
