It’s not easy to reel off a bunch of rock and metal bands who have their own comic book, but now, masked collective Hollywood Undead are certainly a name that you can add to that minimal list.
Written by Paul Allor, the comic book series, ‘Hollywood Undead: Origins’, follows the members of the band as they discover a deep conspiracy set across their home city of Los Angeles, California.
Upon looking into why people are acting unnaturally happy and compliant, the band discovers that it’s a system of mental and physical alteration, funded by a powerful tech mogul-turned City Councilman. But, what’s more, the “victims” aren’t actually victims at all. In fact, they’re undergoing the process voluntarily, but Hollywood Undead won’t stand for that as they work to destroy the facility, assisted by like-minded people from across the city.
This 56-page ‘Hollywood Undead: Origins’ comic is set for release on December 6th 2017 through Heavy Metal Comics, and ties in with the release of the band’s forthcoming studio full-length record, ‘Five’.
The comic and the album can be purchased online now, both separately and within bundle packages, from the band’s official website (here).
