The Hella Mega Tour, which boasted a line-up of Green Day, Fall Out Boy, and Weezer have regrettably announced that the forthcoming dates in Europe have been postponed.
As with all event cancellations as of late, this is due to ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has forced countries across the world to go into lockdown, and in turn preventing large scale events from going ahead.
All three bands on the line-up issued a joint statement regarding this, which reads as follows.

“There’s nothing that makes our bands happier than playing shows, and maybe no other tour that we’ve all been this excited for, but due to the current health crisis, we’re having to postpone a number of our European shows.
We’re just as disappointed as you are, but the safety of our fans, staff and touring crew is our top priority. We’re working hard to finalise dates for the rescheduled shows next summer, so hold on to those tickets.
“Keep rocking… safely… at home.”
Of course, as the statement reads, the bands are only referring to and addressing the European leg of the tour, but it appears that the UK dates are also affected too.
At least the London show is, as the venue has sent emails out to ticket holders which reads as follows.
“Unfortunately the Hella Mega Tour due to arrive at London Stadium on Friday June 26th 2020 has been postponed.
The rescheduled dates are yet to be confirmed.”
According to the Ticketmaster website, the Glasgow date has also been postponed, though there’s no word on the Huddersfield date just yet.
We will keep you posted as we hear more.
