Due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, this year’s Heavy Music Awards are now set to be hosted and broadcasted online.

The event will also see live performances from The Hunna, Holding Absence, Heart Of A Coward, Wargasm, Coldbones, and HAWXX, all of which will be filmed at the state-of-the-art AfterLive Music/Subfrantic studios by Moshhh.

Co-founder Dave Bradley had this to say about the changes.

“The adversity facing live music right now made us even more determined to keep the HMAs alive. We believe it’s more important than ever to shout as loud as we can about the exceptional talent across heavy music – from the artists to the hard working teams behind the scenes – and we are proud to do our part to keep the wheels turning until normality returns.”

Hosted by Kerrang! Radio‘s own Sophie K and Jon Mahon, the fourth annual Heavy Music Awards will premiere on Twitch from 8:30PM (UK time) on September 3rd 2020.

More details on where to stream the event will be confirmed soon.
