Paramore vocalist Hayley Williams has taken to Twitter, affirming the band’s solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community and stating that “there’s a reason” for the band’s past line-up changes.
In the tweets, Williams assures fans that Paramore “do not condone religiously/politically dogmatic beliefs” after saying that “there’s a reason there are only 3 people left in paramore, surprise, haters, it ain’t cause of me.”
there’s a reason there are only 3 people left in @paramore. surprise, haters, it ain’t cause of me.
paramore do not condone religiously/politically dogmatic beliefs which leave our LGBTQ+ friends, fans, & family feeling abandoned and hopeless.

and ya know, if that doesn’t jive with you, well, feel free to go to where all past members of paramore have gone which is literally anywhere else but paramore.

Though Williams‘ tweets don’t mention any previous members of Paramore directly, it is assumed that they are in response and reference to ex-guitarist/vocalist Josh Farro, who allegedly posted a comment on social media recently in which he states that homosexuality is “a perversion”.
It’s believed that the comment has since been deleted/removed, but was screen grabbed and tweeted before this happened.

Josh Farro left Paramore back in December 2010 alongside his brother Zac Farro, shortly after the touring cycle for their third album ‘Brand New Eyes’ came to an end.
Zac Farro has since returned to Paramore in 2017 as their drummer, and features on the band’s latest studio album, ‘After Laughter’.
