Harry Radford, frontman of Scottish post-hardcore outfit Yashin, has announced that he plans to release a solo EP at some point in 2013. The following statement has been made on his official Facebook page, confirming this:
“Music is my life, it’s what I do, it’s who I am and all I know.
I have been in Yashin roughly 4 years now and we are still going strong. I still love my band and think that we have big things to come in the future.
It has come to a point in my life now where I want to write for myself without genre constrictions and without having to disregard ideas that I may love because it does not fit in the “scene”. I want to make it clear I’m staying with Yashin and we are not taking time off, nor we have not fallen out – I have just decided I want to release music of my own and give other things I love a chance.
2013 I will be releasing an EP and maybe even some shows with my band, so I would appreciate if you gave my music a chance. It’s really different to what Yashin is and I know a lot of people who listen to Yashin may not like it but I really do – I am who I am and I do it for the love of music and performing.
Thanks for reading and thanks for believing – inspire and be inspired.
