Tipped as one of our bands to watch through 2019, South Yorkshire rockers Hands Off Gretel have dropped a video to accompany their brand new single, ‘I Want The World’.

It’s the title-track to their forthcoming album, and as for the video itself, it sees the band taking over a skate park with their skater friends and a bunch of cheerleaders.

Speaking about the song, frontwoman Lauren Tate has this to say.

“‘I Want The World’ is a song about how I’ve always felt since I was young. It’s me pouting like a child and saying, ‘No! I want more than what this world is going to give me.’ I channel Veruca Salt from Charlie and The Chocolate Factory when I sing it. I am being obstreperous and impossible like a child, kicking and screaming until I get what I want.”

You can stream and watch the video for ‘I Want The World’ below.

The band’s new studio album, ‘I Want The World’, is set for release on March 29th 2019 via their own label Puke Pop Records.
